Westlab Epsom salts from Hello Skin

*AD - GIFTED* Today is the last of my three Hello Skin posts. If you haven't read them already catch up on the other two here and here. So Hello Skin is an online company specialising in skin care for acne, eczema and psoriasis. But there are lots of other goodies for "normal" skin types too. The Westlab Epsom Salts are something everyone can use.

Hello Skin Westlab Epsom Salts reviving

Who should use Hello Skin Westlab Epsom Salts?

People have been using Epsom Salts for hundreds of years. They are well-known as a bath additive to help relax muscles and recover after exercise. But they can also help people with dry skin, sunburn and insect bites. Westlab Epsom Salts, made from magnesium sulphate, create a soothing and detoxifying bath that aids general skin health and wellbeing. You can add them to baths or use them as a foot soak or exfoliator too.

Hello Skin Westlab Epsom Salts reviving

How to use Westlab Epsom Salts

  • In the bath - add 1/2 to 1 cup to hot running water.
  • As a foot soak - add 1/2 cup to warm water.
  • As an exfoliator - massage in to wet skin after a bath or shower.
  • For bites, stings and sunburn - mix salts in to cool water and soak a compress in the water.

My review of Westlab Epsom salts from Hello Skin

Although I have heard so many people raving about Epsom salts I had never got around to trying them out for myself. The Westlab Epsom Salts are easy to fit in to my bath routine. They dissolve really quickly in the bath water and have no scent. As soon as you step in to the water you can feel how moisturising the salts are. A long soak in the salt bath really does help relax and ease aching muscles too.

I am using about half a cup of the salts which definitely fully dissolves, along with a bath bomb to add some colour and fragrance. My sister has said adding too much makes it a bit gritty under your bottom though!

Afterwards my skin is left really moisturised and soft and I do feel really relaxed.

After emptying the bath there is no residue left in the bottom and they don't leave the bath slippery. There's nothing worse than getting in the shower after bath oils and it finding out it's a skating rink is there?

I really like these and they are a great add on to my usual relaxing baths.

Hello Skin Westlab Epsom Salts reviving

You can buy the Westlab Epsom Salts from Hello Skin here and they are £3.40 for a 1kg bag or £7.99 for a 2kg bag.

Have you tried Epsom salts before? What are your favourite relaxing bath products?

Hiding roots and greys with Everpro Beauty

*AD - GIFTED* If you're a regular reader you'll already know I'm someone who dyes their hair...a lot! My number one problem with colouring my hair is trying to cover up my roots. Whilst my hair doesn't grow especially fast they start showing after about 3 weeks. Lets be honest no-one has the time or money for 3 weekly hair appointments and no-ones hair would take that amount of dying. Everpro Beauty are literally covering (pun intended) that problem along with the covering pesky greys problem too. As a huge hair care and hair colouring fan spending a night talking about all the products with Everpro Beauty is a perfect night for me. I had a lovely night chatting, playing and learning more about everything Everpro has to offer.

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde / Zero Grey collection

Who are Everpro Beauty?

Everpro Beauty are a brand with a mission to offer innovative solutions to unique hair concerns. They offer professional grade, salon formulas to use at home. There are two ranges, the Back 2 Blonde and Grey Away. Both ranges have two different products and both come in a range of shades.

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde concealer spray

First is the Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde temporary root concealer sprays currently £8.66. There are 3 colours in this range for blonde hair with dark roots. There is a light blonde, medium blonde and dark blonde shade. All three colours blend with a wide range of blonde hair so you just need to pick the shade nearest your own. The spray is really easy to use, just shake and spray lightly to where you need coverage. Once dry the temporary colour lasts until you wash your hair. It has a slight almost citrus scent and once dry you can't feel it in your hair.

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde temporary root concealer spray

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde magnetic powder

Next is the Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde magnetic powder, currently £8.66. Again there is the same three colours in this range especially for blonde hair with dark roots. As with the spray all the colours blend with a wide range of blonde hair so you just need to pick the shade nearest your own.

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde temporary root concealer magnetic powder

The powder is really easy to use. Dip the sponge (at the base of the pot) into the powder and dab on where you need to cover. Once in the hair it doesn't look powdery and doesn't weigh the hair down. Again it lasts until you next wash your hair.

Everpro Beauty Back 2 Blonde magnetic powder

Unfortunately I have just gone darker so I haven't been able to test any of the Back 2 Blonde range out for colour matching.

* Everpro Beauty advise not to use the Back 2 Blonde range on any other hair, such as eyebrows.

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey concealer spray

The Everpro Beauty Zero Grey temporary root concealer spray, currently £6.66, is for darker hair with light roots or grey hairs. There are 3 colours in this range lightest brown / dark blonde, light brown and dark brown /black. All three colours blend with a wide range of darker hair so you just need to pick the shade nearest your own. Again this spray is really easy to use, just shake and spray lightly to where you need coverage. Once dry the colour lasts until you wash your hair. It has a slight almost citrus, clean scent and once dry you can't feel it in your hair. I am able to use both the lightest brown and light brown in my hair and both colours adjust to my shade.

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey temporary root concealer spray

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey magnetic powder

Finally the Everpro Beauty Zero Grey magnetic powder, currently just £8.66. There is the same three colours in this range as the sprays. As with the spray all the colours blend with a wide range of dark hair so you just need to pick the shade nearest your own.

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey magnetic powder

Like with the Back 2 Blonde powder, just dip the sponge in to the powder and dab onto the hair. It doesn't leave a powdery finish and both the two lighter shades blend in to my colour.

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey magnetic powder

*Zero Grey should not be used on any other hair, such as eyebrows.

Everpro Beauty Zero Grey / Back 2 Blonde

I think both of these ranges are brilliant. They are perfect for temporarily covering roots and greys. I personally wouldn't wear them every day, but for days / nights out or those last few days before my hair appointment I will definitely be reaching for them. Both ranges are a really reasonable price and I love that I can pick them up in Superdrug.

Have you ever tried Everpro Zero Grey or Back 2 Blonde? Or another product like this?

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks

*AD - GIFTED* Over the past few weeks I have been sharing Quest Personal Care skincare products and haircare products. Today I am sharing the Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks.

At the moment I have an obsession with face masks, there is nothing more relaxing after a busy day or when you want a good pamper. I especially like the single use masks as I don't have to commit to buying a full size jar and can try lots of different ones.

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - Sheet masks

Today I have two different Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks. The brightening sheet mask and the wrinkle care sheet mask.

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - Sheet masks

The brightening mask has rose oil and pomegranate seed extract. It helps lighten dark spots and brightens skin. Whilst on it feels lovely and cooling and has lots of moisturiser on it so doesn't dry out whilst it is on. It leaves behind a good layer on the skin that can be rubbed in afterwards. This is a great mask for the hot summer days we've been having recently as after the skin feels moist, cool and fresh. Each box has two sheet masks in and is £1.97.

The wrinkle care mask has vitamin E in. It helps moisturise and firm the skin. This was my favourite of the two sheet masks. Again it feels lovely and cooling whilst on and is really soaked in the moisturiser. It also leaves behind a good layer of moisturiser to rub in to your face and neck. This makes my skin so soft afterwards and it still feels plump and moisturised even the next day. The box has two sheet masks in and is £1.65

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - Sheet masks

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - Eye patches

I also have two sets of eye patches from the Quest Personal Care Pretty smooth face masks range. The wrinkle care eye patches and the soothe tired puffy eyes eye patches.

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - eye patches

First up of the eye masks is the soothing puffy eyes gel eye patches. I think these are my favourite of the two eye patches. These patches have cucumber extract and collagen. They are hydrating, soothing and calming. The gel eye masks feel amazing when they are on, really cooling and soothing. After removing they leave behind a good layer of moisturiser to massage in. Each box contains 4 treatments and is £1.89.

The second set of eye masks are the wrinkle care eye patches. They have lavender extract and collagen. The gel patches are firming, regenerating and moisturising. Again they feel really soothing when on and leave a good layer of moisturiser behind to massage in. Each box has 4 treatments and is £2.83.

Pretty Smooth gel eye patches

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - nose strips

Lastly from the Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face mask range are the charcoal nose pore strips.

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - nose pore strips

I'm loving charcoal skin care at the moment so I am happy to have more products in my collection. These charcoal nose pore strips are really easy to use and stick really well over the nose. The strips are super sticky so are a bit painful to pull off after the 10 minutes! They definitely clear the pores out and leave the skin feeling really clean afterwards. The box contains 6 treatments and is £2.49

Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks - nose pore strips

I am really pleased with all of the Quest Personal Care Pretty Smooth face masks. They are all great quality and really affordable. I'll definitely be repurchasing and adding them to my pampering routine.

The Quest Personal Care website is still under maintenance but you can download their catalogue there. Whilst the site is down you can buy their products from Amazon and eBay.

Hello Skin Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

*AD - GIFTED* Today I am sharing another product from Hello Skin, an online beauty store selling skincare products for eczema, dry skin, psoriasis and acne. Whilst they specialise in products for these skin types there are plenty of skincare goodies for normal skin types too. Today I am sharing the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub.

Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

Who should use Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub?

The BiorĂ© Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub is suitable for everyone. It is a face scrub that gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin to help it look brighter and healthier. The baking soda scrub cleanses pores free of dirt and contaminants.

Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

How to use Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

  • Wet face.
  • Tip a small amount of the powder into your hand.
  • Add a few drops of water to activate the cleansing scrub.
  • Massage over face.
  • Rinse thoroughly.

Adding more or less water to the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub will give you a harsher or softer exfoliator.

My review of the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

Biore is a brand I have heard of but never tried anything from before. A baking soda cleansing scrub is also new to me too!

I found the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub really easy to use. You only need a tiny amount of it. Just a few drops of water makes it froth up in to a thick foam that is really easy to work over the skin

Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub

The Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub has a lovely lemony scent to it that smells amazing whilst you work it in to the skin. Afterwards my skin feels really clean and soft. I do find it a little drying though so I need a good layer of an intense moisturiser after using it. I definitely prefer this over traditional sugar scrubs which can be too harsh on the face or microbeads which are so bad for the environment.

I'm definitely adding this scrub to my routine permanently using it once or twice a week on a night time.

If you want to try the Biore Baking Soda Cleansing Scrub you can get it from Hello Skin here and it is £7.40 for 125g.

Do you have a cleansing scrub in your routine? Have you tried this Biore scrub?

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley book review

*AD - GIFTED* Today is my stop on the Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley book tour.

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley - The blurb

Some secrets were meant to stay hidden… Trust no-one.

After an operation goes badly wrong, undercover specialist Detective Caelan Small leaves the Metropolitan Police for good. Or so she thinks. Then the criminal responsible is seen back in the UK.

Soon Caelan is drawn back into a dangerous investigation. But when the main lead is suddenly murdered, all bets are off. Nothing is as it seems. Everyone is a suspect - even close colleagues.

Someone in the Met is involved and Caelan is being told to Ask No Questions.

That isn't an option: Caelan needs answers… whatever the cost.

The nerve-shredding new crime thriller from bestseller Lisa Hartley starts a must-read new series. Perfect for fans of Angela Marsons and Robert Bryndza, it will keep you guessing until the very end.

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley - Review

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley is a crime thriller that follows Caelan Small as she returns to the police force to hunt a criminal from her past.

I love the characters in the book, especially Caelan. You only get to know about her and her past in little bits as the story develops which really fits with her character.

The story pulls you in quickly and is very gripping. As the story moves along you learn what happened to make Caelan leave the police force. I love the mystery and trying to guess who is behind it all now. (FYI I didn't guess correctly!) It is very tense in parts and there is a great build up in to a very surprising ending.

The ending to the book is brilliant. The past and present all finally meet in a big reveal of who's done it and a final plot twist that you won't see coming.

Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley is a tense crime novel full of mystery, murders, police politics and shocking plot twists.

I'm giving Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley 4 / 5 stars ****

You can get Ask No Questions by Lisa Hartley on Amazon and read more about it on Goodreads

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair care

*AD - GIFTED* Last week I shared some new skin care products from Quest Personal Care. If you haven't read that yet make sure you catch up with it. Today I am sharing some of the Quest Personal Care Revuele hair care products.
Quest Personal Care Revuele hair care

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair beauty balm

First up is the Quest Personal Care Revuele hair beauty balm. This beauty balm deeply nourishes, seals split ends and repairs hair structure from within. The formula has liquid keratin and bio oils in.

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair beauty balm is really easy to use. You run a small amount through towel dried hair then style as usual. It doesn't need rinsing out.

At the moment my hair is really suffering from continuous bleaching so this balm has come at the perfect time for me. The balm smells lovely, it has a really clean scent that lasts after blow drying. I love getting a scent of it as my hair moves around through the day. I'm finding it easy to work in to my hair and it doesn't affect blow drying time. There isn't any greasiness or stickiness once dry but I do only put it through the lengths and ends. The balm doesn't weight your hair down and hasn't made me need to wash my hair more frequently. After using it my hair feels really soft and manageable and in much better condition.

On the bottle it does say it can be used on dry hair too. I haven't tried this as yet so I don't know if that will work in the same way.

The Quest Personal Care Revuele hair beauty balm is a definite thumbs up from me!

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair beauty balm

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair serum

Next the Quest Personal Care Revuele hair serum. This is a smoothing serum with laminating effect. It help ease combing and styling for curly, unruly hair. The formula has rice proteins, flax oil and keratins in it.

Like the balm the Quest Personal Care Revuele hair serum is easy to apply, just spray on to towel dry hair. It doesn't need rinsing off and you can style your hair as usual.

Again this has come at the perfect time for me. As my hair is in a sorry state I'm leaving it curly as often as possible. I have been spraying this in my hair and leaving it to dry naturally. The serum has the same clean and fresh scent as the serum that lasts once it is dry. After using it my hair is easy to untangle, soft and manageable. It doesn't weigh my hair down and doesn't leave any stickiness or greasiness.

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair serum is definitely a product I will be repurchasing once it runs out.

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair serum

Quest Personal Care Revuele hair care round up

I am really happy with both hair care products. They are both perfect for my hair right now and I will be carrying on using them.

The Quest Personal Care site is currently under maintenance but you can download a copy of their catalogue. Whilst the site is down you can buy both of these products from eBay and Amazon.

Hello Skin La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion

*AD - GIFTED* Hello Skin is a beauty store selling skincare products especially for eczema, dry skin, psoriasis and acne. They have brands ranging from high end Clinique and La Roche-Posay to home favourites such as E45 and Oilatum and drug store brands such as Biore and Clearasil. Whilst they specialise in skin problems there are plenty of things for normal skin too. They recently asked me if I would like to try a few things out from the store. Today I am sharing the La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion.
Hello Skin La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion

Who should use the La-Roche Posay Effaclar astringent lotion?

This range is for acne prone skin. The La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion (clarifying toner) helps blemish-prone skin become more oil-free and makes the formation of spots less likely. It is  an anti blackhead formula. The micro-exfoliant lotion helps to unblock and reduce the size of pores.

Hello Skin La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion

How to use La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion

  • Cleanse and dry the skin.
  • Apply the lotion to a cotton pad.
  • Apply gently to the face, making sure to avoid the eye area.

It doesn't need rinsing off and once it is dry you can carry on with your usual skin care routine and make-up.

My review of the La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion

La Roche-Posay is a brand I already know and love and I do have another product from the Effaclar range already. Whilst I don't have acne prone skin my skin is hormonal. It is often oily and breaks out at certain times of the month.

Firstly I love the packaging the bright blue and white really stands out on my dressing table. The flip lid is great as I'm quickly going through my routine. Whilst the lotion squirts out of the top, it doesn't come out too fast so I don't end up with a cotton pad soaking in it!

The La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion has a clean and fresh scent. It does smell astringent but it isn't too over powering. The lotion doesn't sting when I apply it and it hasn't made my skin feel dry or tight.

I've found it great at removing the leftover make-up cleansing can miss. Afterwards my skin feels really clean and fresh.

Unfortunately it came mid-way through my problem week so I had already had a few breakouts. It definitely makes my skin less oily though and I didn't get any more breakouts. I'm really interested to test it the next few months and see if it completely stops them.

I use a toner twice daily so I am replacing my night time toner with the La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion. I really love how my skin feels afterwards and how it removes the make-up from the day.

You can get La Roche-Posay Effaclar astringent lotion from Hello Skin here and it is £9 for 200mls. You can also find more products for blemish prone skin here.

Have you tried this product before? Or anything else from La Roche-Posay? Let me know what you think in the comments below.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch Leeds

*AD - GIFTED* Jamie's Italian is somewhere I have been wanting to try for the longest time but have never got around to. So when an email asking if I would like to try the new Super Lunch menu at the Leeds branch dropped in my inbox, naturally I said yes immediately! The Jamie's Italian Super Lunch menu runs Monday - Friday 12-6. You can have two courses for £11.95 or three courses for £13.95.

Jamie's Italian super lunch Leeds

The inside of Jamie's Italian is just gorgeous! Thick chunky wood tables, wooden floors and stripped ceilings.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch starters

From the Super Lunch menu this is the Truffle Tagliatelle. This is handmade pasta served in a black truffle butter with aged Parmesan, nutmeg and shaved black truffle. It is without a doubt THE nicest food I have ever eaten. The pasta is lovely, you can really taste it is freshly made. I thought for a starter there was the perfect amount too. There is enough that you feel you've had a course but not so much you worry about finishing the rest of your meal. It was my first time trying truffles and they are amazing. Im just sad I can't have truffles on every meal from now on!

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch truffle tagliatelle

For Ellie, the ultimate garlic bread from the antipasti section of the normal menu. This almost looks too good to eat, I just love the rustic board it comes on. Again it is the perfect portion size for a starter course. As well as looking good it tastes and smells good too.

Jamie's Italian super lunch ultimate garlic bread

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch mains

This is the Steak and Fries from the Jamie's Italian Super Lunch menu. A marinated skirt steak, flash grilled & served with garlic butter, aged Parmesan, slaw & fries. The steak is done perfectly, to just how you order. The marinate is tasty and I love the garlic butter. The chips are super thin and crispy which is just how I like them and the slaw tastes great too. Again I thought this was a really good size portion too.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch steak and fries

I had to try the polenta chips from the contorni main menu too as I've heard so many people talk about them! I love polenta but have only had it in baking or mash potato style. The polenta chips are crispy on the outside and soft in the middle. I love the herby cheesy topping too. I will definitely be trying to recreate these at home soon.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch crispy polenta chips

Ellie has the margherita pizza from the Jamie's Italian kids menu (fussy teenage eating day!) This is a sourdough base with Jamie's organic seven-veg sauce, mozzarella and fresh basil. The sourdough base is thin and crisp, the sauce really tasty and a good, thick layer of oozy mozzarella. It is the perfect size, even for a growing teenager.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch margheritta pizza

Jamie's Italian super lunch - the desserts

Finally the Jamie's Italian Super Lunch epic chocolate brownie. A chocolate brownie with chocolate sauce, salted caramel popcorn gelato and caramel popcorn. This is pretty much dessert heaven on a plate! The brownie is perfect, the gelato tastes amazing and the popcorn pieces add a really tasty touch. As I was so full I did ask for a smaller portion, so this is half the size of the usual portion.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch epic chocolate brownie

And from the kids menu again an organic strawberry and mango ice lolly. This is made from real fruit so has "bits" in and is surprisingly filling. Ellie loved it though and it was a great end to her meal.

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch strawberry and mango ice lolly

Jamie's Italian Super Lunch review

Both Ellie and I loved our meals at Jamie's Italian. The Super Lunch menu has lots of great dishes to choose from all for a great price. As Jamie's Italian Super Lunch runs from 12-6 it is great for lunch or an early dinner too.

The Leeds branch is a gorgeous venue and all the staff are lovely. They really know the menu and they are attentive without interfering whilst you are eating.

We can't wait to visit again and try some different things from the menu.

Have you ever been to Jamie's Italian?

Summer of Pride / Pride of Britain my nomination

I am going to give my nomination to Armley Junk-tion Cafe. It was the first cafe to intercept food heading for the bin and make it into healthy meals operating on a pay as you feel basis. People can also donate their time and skills in exchange for food too. The cafe also has a food boutique where customers can purchase the food that has been intercepted too. How to Correctly Create the Perfect Anti-Ageing Routine

*AD - SPONSORED* Have you ever wondered how to perfect your anti-ageing routine? Todays sponsored post can help with that!

Ageing is a natural and unstoppable process. When it comes to ageing, people desire a wrinkle-free and smooth complexion more than pain-free knees. You are never too young or too old to start taking care of your skin. For healthy and rejuvenated skin, you need to make certain changes on your dressing table and in your daily routine.

Here’s how to correctly create the perfect anti-ageing routine for yourself.

How to perfect anti-ageing skincare routine

Start by Knowing Your Skin Type

Women usually have thinner and more sensitive skin compared to men. Men also have a higher density of collagen in their skin, regardless of their age. It is important to note that your skin becomes thinner as you age and so the choice of anti-ageing products depends on your age as well. Common skin types include oily, normal, dry and combination skin. Your skin’s sensitivity largely depends on your exposure to pollutants, the quantity of melanin in your skin and any kind of allergies.

For thin skin, you can choose anti-ageing lotions and creams with a milky texture which absorb easily. If you have naturally oily skin, choose light, non-greasy formulas as they don’t lie on the surface of your skin. However, many oil-controlling products contain silicon. Get your skin tested for silicon allergies if you want to use oil-control products.

The Necessary Steps in a Skincare Routine

Cleansing

Cleanse your skin with a water-soluble and gentle cleanser. Cleansing is necessary for removing excessive oil and debris from your skin and opening clogged pores.

Exfoliating

Exfoliation is necessary for removing the build-up of dead skin cells, increasing blood circulation and rejuvenating your skin. Cosmetic exfoliators may contain chemical-based ingredients. It is ideal to choose natural exfoliators or make your own exfoliator at home. Men should exfoliate their skin before shaving to reduce ingrown hair.

Toning

Toning is the process of balancing the melanin in your skin to reduce hypo-pigmentation or hyper-pigmentation. Potato, cucumber or tomato juice can also be used to tone your skin effectively along with a number of anti-ageing toners formulated specifically for dry and ageing skin.

Moisturising

As you age, your skin loses most of its natural moisture and elasticity. This leads to a dry and dull complexion. Hence, moisturising with a natural anti-ageing lotion or day and night cream can help seal the moisture in your skin, leading to a glowing and healthy complexion.

Serum

Serums are rich in anti-oxidants that remove free radicals and toxins from our skin. Serums serve to improve the texture of your skin while minimising the appearance of wrinkles and inflammation.

Why Choose Natural Anti-Ageing Skincare Products?

Natural anti-ageing skincare products contain ingredients which easily absorb in your skin while repairing damaged skin cells. Natural products also serve to cleanse your skin, remove dead cells, provide essential nutrients and improve your skin’s natural defence against harmful pollutants in the environment. These products also protect your skin against dangerous UV rays.

A natural anti-ageing product should contain essential oils like Argan and Baobab oil. These oils supply the required moisture to your skin, and add to its natural glow. Argan and Baobab oils have anti-bacterial and anti-inflammatory properties. They serve to repair damaged skin cells, reduce redness or inflammation, and help your skin fight against harmful bacteria and other viruses. Make sure that your natural skincare products contain Hyaluronic Acid, which can help retain water and boost the production of collagen to make your skin look youthful and glowing. Order your skincare products online, you’ll be able to get a more detailed list of ingredients and as the retailer for more information if necessary.

If used on a regular basis, anti-ageing products cleanse, remove free radicals and keep your skin hydrated and moisturised. Anti-ageing night creams can also provide you all the benefits in one package, making them an indispensable part of your anti-ageing skincare routine.

Distribute Skincare Timings

The following are a few habits you should develop as a part of your anti-ageing routine.

In the Morning

  • Wash your face with a soap-free face wash.
  • Apply a moisturiser even if you’re at home.
  • Apply serum to prepare your skin against environmental stressors.

Before Going Out in the Sun

  • Wash your face with lukewarm water.
  • Apply sunscreen or an anti-ageing day cream with SPFat least 20 minutes before leaving home/office.
  • Apply sunscreen at least twice a day, especially if your skin is exposed to dangerous sunrays.
  • Before Going to Bed
  • Cleanse your face with a natural cleanser.
  • Exfoliate at least twice a week with a natural exfoliator.
  • Apply anti-ageing night cream, making sure that it contains rich quantities of moisturising ingredients.
  • Apply a specially formulated anti-ageing night cream around your under-eye area.
  • Dip an old clean mascara brush in essential oil and gently apply the oil on your eyelashes and eyebrows.

Weekly Routine

  • Massage your whole body and head with warm essential oil. Leave it on for at least two hours before taking a bath.

Quest Personal Care skincare products

*AD - GIFTED* The very lovely people at Quest Personal Care recently got in touch to see if I would like to try out some of their skin care products. I am a huge skin care junkie and always looking for new products to try out. So this opportunity is just perfect for me!

Quest Personal Care skincare products

I was blown away at how many lovely things were inside my parcel. As there are so many new pretties to try out I am going to separate them in to three different posts. Skincare, hair care and face masks. Today I am sharing the skin care products with you all.

Quest Personal Care skincare products

Quest Personal Care - Revuele Black Mask

Firstly, something I am so happy to be able to try at last, the Revuele Black Mask. This is an activated carbon peel off mask. (Yep the type you will have seen on the Facebook videos). It contains carbon, which is great for skin cleansing and fighting acne and blackheads. It also contains zinc and silver ions which are known for their antibacterial activity and oil control.

Quest Personal Care Revuele Black Mask

The Revuele Black Mask from Quest Personal Care is really easy to use; squeeze a small amount out of the tube, apply to the face (avoiding the eyes and lips) and leave it 15-20 minutes to dry. Once it is dry peel it off from the bottom of your face up.

I found the mask easy to apply and work with. Washing it off my fingers afterwards was easy and definitely not as messy as I thought it would be. It did dry quickly, well within the 20 minutes. The mask peels off all in once piece which is strangely satisfying. It is slightly painful in places as it pulls off the skin,  recommend NOT putting it as close to your eyes as I did. Afterwards you can see everything it has pulled out from your skin. My skin feels super clean and soft after using the mask, but a little on the dry side. A good layer of moisturiser sorts that out though.

I really love the Revuele Black Mask from Quest Personal Care and will carry on using it once a week or so.

Quest Personal Care - Revuele Dr Richards Organic Foam

Next from Quest Personal Care is the Revuele Dr Richards Organic Foam. This cleansing foam is antibacterial and contains natural extracts. It is perfect for gently but deeply cleansing, removing excess oils, eliminating dryness and redness and calming and protecting the skin.

The Revuele Organic Foam from Quest Personal Care is again really simple to use. You wet your skin, pump the foam out, massage it into the skin and rinse off with water.

Quest Personal Care Revuele Dr Richards Organic Foam

This is my first time using a cleansing foam so it was exciting to try it. Firstly just look how thick and foamy it is! The Revuele Organic Foam foams up as soon as it is pumped out. It isn't too watery and holds until you use it. I found it lathers in really nicely and washes off easily too. The foam has a clean, fresh scent that isn't too overpowering.

After using it my skin feels really clean and soft. There is no tightness or dryness after using it too. I have found it isn't enough to remove a full face of make up so I use it after I've done that.

The Quest Personal Care Revuele Dr Richards Organic Foam is my new favourite skin care product and I will definitely be re-purchasing this.

Quest Personal Care - Revuele Micellar Solution

Lastly is the Quest Personal Care Revuele Micellar Solution. This micellar water cleanses, tones and refreshes. The cornflower extract is soothing and anti-swelling. It is hypoallergenic, contains no fragrance, parabens or silicone.

Like the previous two products it is easy to use, simply soak a cotton pad with it, clean the face and rinse off with water.

Quest Personal Care Revuele Micellar Solution

Now I have a confession to make...I've never actually used micellar water before! I don't know why, I know about it, I know everyone raves about it. I just never actually got around to buying it and trying it myself.

I love using the Quest Personal Care Revuele Micellar Solution, it is so quick and easy. Afterwards my skin feels clean, soft and fresh. It removes all of my makeup except waterproof mascara and stubborn liquid matte lipsticks. (Though lets be honest nothing much shifts those easily!)

As I don't have anything to compare this to Ellie has been using it as well. She likes it as much as her regular micellar water.

Because I love using this so much and Ellie tells me it is as good as others I would quite happily repurchase the Quest Personal Care Revuele Micellar Solution.

Quest Personal Care skincare review

I really love all three skin care products and they are all welcome additions to my routine. I love how clean and fresh they all make my skin feel. I've used the cleansing foam and micellar solution daily for ten days and the mask twice with no reactions.

The Quest Personal Care website is currently under maintenance but you can download a copy of their catalogue there. Whilst the site is down you can buy their products from ebay and Amazon.

What do you think of these three skincare products? Do you use anything like these in your daily or weekly routines?
