How to wear loungewear past lock down

*AD-GIFTED* I have been so envious seeing everyones cute photographs of them cozy at home in their new loungewear. As you'll all know I am still out working *waves to fellow NHS / key workers*. I keep looking at loungewear but just wasn't sure if it was something we'll all be wearing once lock down is over. As if they knew I was struggling with the to buy or not to buy decision Femme Luxe have sent me some loungewear to share with you all. Today I'm sharing how I'm wearing it and how to wear loungewear past lockdown.

How to wear loungewear past lockdown - jogger sets

I love getting home from work, showering and getting in to this grey long sleeve joggers set. I finish work at 2 so don't want to put pyjamas on that early, but after a day in full PPE do want to be super comfy. As this is a joggers set, once lockdown is over, I feel happy going out in it and can wear both pieces separately too.

This black v-neck top and leggings loungewear set is definitely a lot more casual than the grey set. After lockdown I'm not sure it is something I would wear out and about. But it is great for wearing at home on lazy days or popping to a friends in for a cuppa and catch up on their sofa. They will also be perfect to wear as pyjamas in the winter.

How to wear loungewear past lockdown - Oversized t-shirts

The oversized t-shirt trend was here well before lockdown and I'm sure it will be here long after. I love this look as it's comfortable and can be dressed up or down.

Some days I love wearing my loungewear t-shirts long and loose, like how I'm wearing this black ooh la la oversized t-shirt. It is really comfortable and can be worn with leggings, jeans, shorts or even bare legs. Definitely a look for post-lockdown too.
And you can change it up, by tying your t-shirt at the waist, like with this white fearless femme slogan t-shirt. Again you can wear it with pretty much anything for a less casual look.

New wardrobe additions with Femme Luxe

*AD - GIFTED* You might have seen recently I updated my winter wardrobe with some new dresses. Today I've got some more new wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe, trousers and jeans, to share with you all. I'm a creature of habit, skinny jeans or leggings make up my out of work wear and I only ever wear black trousers at work. My Femme Luxe delivery is changing that!

New wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe - The ripped jeans

New wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe - High waist, extreme rip jeans with vest and trainers

The first thing in my delivery are these high waist extreme rip jeans. As I said above skinny jeans have been my staple style jean for SO long so these are completely different for me. They're a perfect for summer light blue colour, straight leg fit and have a large cut out on one thigh. I'm teaming mine with a black vest and my new pastel blue Reebok classics. They are really comfy, lightweight and look great.

New wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe - The tartan print trousers

My next item from my parcel of new wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe are these grey tartan print trousers and I've been so excited for these to arrive. The trousers and print and completely unlike anything I own. They are slim fitting with a paperbag waist and have pockets. The material is soft and slightly stretchy so they feel great and look really flattering on. Here I have a casual look with a vest and grey trainers, but the trousers will look great dressed up with a bodysuit and heels.

New wardrobe additions from Femme Luxe - The cargo slim fit trousers

My last look for you are these black cargo slim fit trousers. They are high waisted with a slim fit and a cuffed hem. I really love the casual look of these and they will be great for cooler spring and summer days or nights. A vest, white trainers and a belt tie my casual look for these together.

If you love these three looks why not see the other trousers and jeans Femme Luxe have.

Which of my three outfits are your favourite? Have you been updating your wardrobe ready for when we're able to go out again?

Winter dresses from Femme Luxe

(AD-GIFTED) My Winter wardrobe is something I have problems with. I want to be warm and cosy but still want to look nice and not like a marshmallow. The struggle is real! Fortunately I've got some new Winter dresses from Femme Luxe to share with you all today.

Keeping warm and stylish with Winter dresses from Femme Luxe

Close up of a white long sleeve jumper dress / Winter dresses from Femme Luxe

My first winter dress from Femme Luxe is this white jumper dress. It has long sleeves so is perfect for this time of year. The jumper dress is a fine knit so isn't too chunky and has the perfect amount of stretch which, along with the cinched waist, gives a flattering fit and looks great on. I really love the length as you can wear it with leggings and boots in the daytime, like I am here, or bare legs for a more dressy look.

My next daytime winter dress from Femme Luxe is this gorgeous khaki oversized jumper dress. I love the oversize jumper dress trend as it's a perfect look to hide any bits I don't like but still feel feminine and girly. This dress has long sleeves again and is quite thick jersey material so keeps you warm. It's a great length for dressing up or down too. I am loving wearing it with thick leggings and fluffy boots at the moment.

Glamming up my wardrobe with winter dresses from Femme Luxe

I always find looking glam AND staying warm impossible this time of year. When it's cold, grey and wet I much prefer wrapping up in my fluffy dressing gown and slippers more appealing than a strappy dress and bare legs. The long sleeved one shoulder midi dress is the perfect solution for me. I love this bright red shade and the thick, slinky material with ruching detail is really flattering too. The belt around my waist is perfect at the moment for hiding my post-surgery stomach.

My absolute favourite winter dress from Femme Luxe is this black bodycon midi dress . The material is really thick and sits perfectly. I love how the bodycon shape sucks me in in all the right places and the midi length adds to the shape. And the sleeve shape and deep v-neck make it look and feel really special. Again, it is belted around the waist which looks pretty but isn't needed to hide any problem areas as it is tight and holds you in.

All four of my winter dresses from Femme Luxe feel good quality and have washed and dried without any issues. The sizing of them all is perfect and I don't have any complaints or criticisms at all.

If you are looking to update your day or nighttime wardrobes I definitely recommend having a look at Femme Luxe.

I'd love to know which is your favourite outfit from the four above? And tell me what your go-to winter outfits are?

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends for SS19

*AD - SPONSORED POST* Every season, I update my wardrobe. It keeps my look fresh and ensures everything I own fits and blends together well. So, right now, I am looking for a few items for when the weather really heats up. Here are some of the most interesting women's fashion trends I have uncovered, while doing that.

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Jumpsuit and boilersuits

The rise of the boilersuit continues. They look fantastic as well as being practical and comfortable, so this is not really a surprise.

Women's fashion trends - woman standing in black boiler suit with bright floral print

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Tap into the utility trend

They are a big part of the utility trend that has made its way from the catwalks to the mainstream, in the past few months. The great thing about the utility trend is that it combines function with aesthetics. You get to wear clothes that look and feel good, but are also practical. They are clothes you can wear for virtually any activity you want to enjoy. Generously cut shirts and trousers with big pockets that are cut to hang well paired with flat mules is a look that works well for a lot of women.

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - The shirt dress

Shirt dresses are also part of the utility look. You can wear them belted, or on really warm days let them hang loser, so you can let the air flow.

Women's fashion trends - navy blue shirt dress with tropical print

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - The tie-dye look

Tie dye is definitely no longer just for hippies. The patterns being produced are wildly different from the ones we have seen before. There is plenty of variety available, so you will have no trouble finding something that appeals to you.

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Manic prints

Every summer, we see prints and this summer is no exception. But, this year, the prints are a bit crazier than normal. The leopard print trend from the winter has made designers, and us, bolder. Crazy vibrant prints are everywhere. The manic print trend looks set to be big. It is not for everyone, but if you are looking for a bright dress these eye-catching prints might work for you.

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Giant bags

Huge bags seemed to be everywhere on the catwalks. I don’t like tiny handbags, but still can’t see myself buying one of these super-sized bags. But, if you like carrying your life around in your handbag, you will be spoilt for choice. Some of them are so big that you could potentially use them as a beach bag.

Women's fashion trends - giant blue and white patterned bag

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Hats are back

This year, you can expect to see more people wearing hats. The usual mix of baseball caps and cloth hats is joined by extra wide-brimmed hats. If you do not fancy that look, the 90s bucket hat is also back in fashion. But, before buying one, you might like to read this article, to check that style of hat is right for your face shape.

Women's fashion trends - straw hat with flamingo writing and pink trim

Interesting Women’s Fashion Trends - Waistcoats for women

Recently, designers like Louis Vuitton and Alexander McQueen have been sending their models down the runway wearing waistcoats and sleeveless coats. It will be interesting to see if this trend takes off, but you can expect to see them being made available in more women’s clothing retailers.

Overall, I liked what I saw. This years women's fashion trends are a bit more quirky than normal, which is refreshing.

Which of these trends will you be updating your wardrobe with this season?

Bingley Music Live Festival 2018

Our weekend at Bingley Music Live Festival 2018 is becoming something of a tradition now. We go every year with the same group of people and always have a fab time. For us it is the last festival of the year, just before school goes back and signifies the end of summer.

Bingley Music Live Festival takes place over three days and is always the weekend after August bank holiday. It is set in Myrtle Park, Bingley in Yorkshire. As the years go on it is quickly growing and now has huge acts appearing on the line up.

Bingley Music Live Festival 2018 Day One

Day one of Bingley Music Live Festival 2018 is a Friday. The park opens at 3pm so you can have a nice leisurely morning getting ready. Or you can even work in the morning and just use half a days holiday. Luckily the sun is shining and it is lovely and warm. No wellies and raincoats for us this festival!

Bingley Music Live Festival 2018 Final Thoughts

As always we had an amazing three days at Bingley Music Live Festival 2018. The weather was amazing and the company made the weekend for us.

The line-up this year, for me, is a bit hit and miss. There are some amazing headliners, but most of the other bands just aren't for me. I would love to keep the big headliners and have a variety of bands and genres through the daytime slots.

Rules at Bingley were changed this year, just a few weeks before the festival. Usually you are able to take in picnics and soft drinks. This year you are only able to bring sealed, pre-packaged food and one 500ml drink. We always take a picnic lunch and buy dinner from a food truck. I am generally happy with the changes and understand the reasons behind it. But, they really do need to look at the food trucks for next years festival. They are all very expensive, with not a lot of choice between them. This year there is just one stall catering for vegetarians (I'm not sure if it is vegan friendly or not), nothing for allergies and intolerances like gluten free, and no choice at all if you don't want greasy, fried food. Hopefully next year they will have the great choices they usually do.

Despite my grumbles about the food choices we will definitely be back next year. Fingers crossed the sunshine comes along too!

Have you been to any festivals this summer? What marks the end of summer for you?

Leeds Festival 2018

Leeds Festival 2018 what we ate - ham and rocket pizza

Leeds Festival 2018 is a very different LeedsFest for me as I have a new festival buddy. It is Ellie's first Leeds Festival and her "proper" festival too. Whilst we have been to Bingley Music Live and lots of gigs and concerts we haven't done a big festival before. As she is 15 now, next summer she is able to go on her own with her friends. As I'm something of a self-confessed festival veteran now I want to take her so she can see what it's like. I want her to experience everything, know what happens where and generally show her around.

As a mum it terrifies me to think next summer she will be able to head off with a tent and her friends for the weekend with no idea what it entails. So, knowing she already knows the festival site and is prepared for everything will be really reassuring.

At the last minute we have decided against camping and are using the shuttle bus. The festival shuttle bus service is quick, easy and reliable. There are coaches running backwards and forwards between the festival and Leeds City Centre day and night. A wristband to hop on and off all weekend is a really reasonable price too.

Leeds Festival 2018 Day One

It Friday morning of Leeds Festival 2018 and the sun is shining. It is forecast to be dry all day and we can't wait to get there. There is a band I want to see at 12 so we are on the shuttle bus early. The weatherman isn't right though and there are quite a few heavy rain showers as well as some hailstone too. It doesn't spoil the day and we had an amazing first day.

Day One Who we saw

Day One of Leeds Festival 2018 sees us running around between all the different tents to see everyone on the lineup we want to see.

We saw Twisted Wheel, The Joy Formidable, Let's Eat Grandma, NF, Krept x Konan, Welshly Arms, The Vaccines, Courteeners and Kings of Leon.

The highlight of my day are The Vaccines, who I've been a fan of for a long time, and NF. NF is Ellies favourite rapper and even if you don't know the songs he puts on an amazing show.

Leeds Festival 2018 Day Two

Saturday of Leeds Festival 2018 and we are up and out at a similar time. The shuttle bus queues seem a lot bigger today but we get through and on the bus quickly. It is sunny and dry all day, which makes such a difference at a festival. We see some of our favourite bands and have another amazing day.

Day Two Who we saw

As day two of Leeds Festival 2018 is much sunnier, other than Bring Me The Horizons secret set in one of the tents, it is a sitting outside by the main stage day. (I have to give the lovely Bee a massive thank you for letting me know when the secret set was going to be).

We saw SWMRS, Bring Me The Horizon, Creeper, Post Malone, The Wombats, The Kooks, Travis Scott and Fall Out Boy. As the crowd cleared after Travis Scott we spotted a space right at the front barrier and got in it. My inner teenage emo has a front row spot for Fall Out Boy and couldn't be happier!

The highlight of my day is Bring Me The Horizon's secret set and Fall Out Boy. Pete Wentz blasting fire out of his guitar is everything.

Leeds Festival 2018 Day Three

Our last day of Leeds Festival 2018 and the weather couldn't be anymore different. Grey, cloudy and raining all day. Being at home though means we can bundle ourselves up with lots of layers and waterproofs before heading off for the day. Despite the weather and the mud it is one of my favourite days. I am a massive Panic! At The Disco fan so they are my favourite band of the weekend.

Day Three Who we saw

As the weather at Leeds Festival 2018 is so bad for day three as much time as possible is spent in tents. Only venturing down to the main stage for the bands we really want to see. We still got to see our favourites and caught some great bands in the tents.

We saw Alma, Brockhampton, Dua Lipa, N.E.R.D, Panic! At The Disco, Alan Walker, Pendulum and Kendrick Lamar.

My highlight of the day is Panic! At The Disco. I have been a huge fan since their first album and love them every time I see them.

Leeds Festival 2018 Final thoughts

Both me and Ellie had an amazing weekend at Leeds Festival 2018. Being able to take Ellie to her first festival is such a lovely experience and something I'm so proud I was able to do.

We saw some of our favourite bands and found lots of new bands to love. I know the line up had a lots of mixed reviews. Ellie absolutely loved the rap artists there. Having being at the first Leeds Festival in 1999 I do agree with the other side that it is a rock and indie festival. I love seeing the big guitar bands, the indie bands and the punk bands. The festival does have to move with the times but maybe adding a rap tent might work?

Whilst not camping does make it a different experience it doesn't make it worse. I thought missing the campsite atmosphere and experiences would spoil it but it doesn't at all. The shuttle bus is so easy to use and its so good to come home, get warm and get in my own bed.

The food trucks really need a special mention. There is so much choice and something for everyone. Wether you want a burger and chips, a pizza, a vegetarian meal or a curry or chinese you can find it there. I love that there are healthier choices, lighter bites and even something for a sweet tooth.

Leeds Festival 2018 has been the highlight of our summer and I really hope we can make it next year too.

Have you ever been to Leeds Festival? What has been the highlight of your summer?
